Muez Ali is the Research and Policy Associate at Earthna, Qatar Foundation. He is also an Honorary Research Fellow at the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources at UCL. His research activities and interests span food
security, climate change in the MENA region and Sub-Saharan Africa, electrifcation and energy access, and the political economy of development. He holds an undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Sheffield and a Master’s degree in sustainable energy technologies from the University of Southampton. He was previously a Research Associate at the London School of Economics and (2021-2022) and a researcher at the Sudanese Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (2020-2021).
