Dr. Khalid Ali Al-Jufairi is a scholar and professor of international politics whose work bridges theoretical inquiry in the social sciences with applied policy analysis and national strategy. He teaches across leading institutions in Qatar and internationally, including Georgetown University in Qatar, and engages actively with policy communities in the Gulf and beyond. He is an Abshire-Inamori Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC, and the inaugural Al-Khaleej Fellow at the Fiker Institute in Dubai, where his policy work focuses on Gulf foreign policy behavior, strategic hedging, and omnibalancing amid great-power rivalry. His 2022 book, The Centrality of Middle Class: Sociopolitical Resilience and Economic Stability, published by Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press, advances a society-centered framework for understanding political stability and economic transformation. Dr. Al-Jufairi’s scholarship reflects a commitment to knowledge, strategy and policy relevance on security, power and state-society relations.
