Jihad Mashamoun is a Sudanese political analyst and researcher on the Horn of Africa’s political affairs. He holds a doctoral degree in Middle East Politics from the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter. He has authored and co-authored numerous articles and analyses on Sudanese affairs and provided expert interviews for radio, print, and news channels.
With considerable strategic and commercial interests in the country, the two Gulf states fear further destabilization in Sudan. But what role has their involvement had in the current conflict and how can they help Sudan get out of it?
