subscribeDeema Almasri is an environmental scientist and policy researcher specializing in water resource management and climate change. Her expertise includes developing water treatment technologies, conducting water security research, and shaping environmental policy. Currently a Research Fellow at the United Nations University Institute, she focuses on water management in arid regions.
Previously, as a Senior Policy Associate at Earthna (Qatar Foundation), she led water studies addressing global water resource challenges. Almasri was also a Scientist at the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI), where she developed membrane technology to tackle water pollution. Almasri’s research has yielded numerous publications and patents, particularly in the areas of water treatment and desalination technologies suitable for arid environments. Her work bridges the gap between scientific innovation and effective water policy.
