Abdalrahman Kittana is a Palestinian architect and researcher, currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Tampere University, Finland, and an Assistant Professor of Architecture at Birzeit University. Dr. Kittana is the co-founder of the Yalla Project, a “research-by-doing” initiative in Nablus that revitalized historic buildings as catalysts for urban renewal. His research focuses on architecture and survival in war, homemaking under conflict, urban regeneration and postwar reconstruction, the history of architecture, and urban development.
