Zeidon Alkinani is a Middle East political analyst and the Founding Director of the Arab Perspectives Institute. He previously served as a Lecturer at Georgetown University in Qatar and at the University of Aberdeen, where he obtained his PhD in Politics and International Relations.
Alkinani leads strategic initiatives within Qatar’s educational non-profit sector and is a regular commentator on regional and international affairs. His analysis has appeared in leading regional and international media outlets, and he is a frequent participant in academic and policy conferences.
He is the author of a forthcoming book with Routledge on in-group rivalries in consociational democracies, with a particular focus on post-2003 Iraq.
