Bio

Carlo Palleschi is Associate Researcher at the Mediterranean Platform at the School of Government, Luiss Guido Carli. He is a consultant at the World Bank, with a primary focus on a wide range of African development and environmental issues. Prior to this, Carlo worked at the Food and Agriculture Organization, the Center for Economic and International Studies of the University of Tor Vergata, the Center for International Studies, and the European Union Institute for Security Studies. In these roles, he actively engaged in numerous projects and publications centered around Africa. He also contributed to the African section of the 2023, 2024 and 2025 Armed Conflict Survey by the International Institute for Strategic Studies. During the academic year 2021–2022, he served as a contract Professor of Urban Economics at Roma Tre University. Carlo holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Development Economics, both earned from La Sapienza University of Rome
