Bio

Mohammad Abu Hawash is a Senior Research Assistant for the Middle East Council on Global Affairs. Previously, he was a research and communications officer at the embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Washington, DC, where he conducted research on the geopolitics of the Middle East and supported Jordan’s official public diplomacy initiatives across the United States.

Mohammad holds a Master of Public Administration from Central European University, where he also obtained a postgraduate specialization in Sectoral Policy. His master’s thesis examined water policy in the Middle East and is titled “Mining Brine and Water: Desalination in the Context the West Asia – North Africa Water Regime.” He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Qatar.
