Hanan Alsadi

Visiting Fellow

Bio

Hanan Alsadi is a visiting fellow at the Middle East Council on Global Affairs. She is a lecturer with the International Affairs Department at Qatar University and a Ph.D. candidate in energy policy at Portland State University.

Previously, she was an energy resiliency intern at Tigard, Oregon, where she worked on a proposal for establishing a resilience hub in Tigard to manage climate change impacts and energy transition among others.  Alsadi was also a policy intern at the Embassy of Qatar in Washington, D.C., where she analyzed exchanges between the U.S. and Qatari governments and wrote weekly report to the counselor and staff on energy and climate change issues.

At Qatar University, Alsadi lectured on disaster planning and crisis management, international energy issues, and climate change policy analysis.
