Junior Visiting Fellow

Bio

Alhala H. Alkuwari is a junior visiting fellow at the Middle East Council on Global Affairs. She is also a teaching associate in politics at the Community College of Qatar (CCQ).

Alkuwari is a graduate from the Queen Mary University of London with a master’s degree in international relations.

Previously, Alkuwari worked as a researcher at the Ministry of Interior of Qatar for five years, in the fields of international security, countering terrorism, and preventing violent extremism. Her research interests include Middle Eastern security and counterterrorism, Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and Arab women representation and empowerment.
